OME is proud to announce another wonderful opportunity for young adults. Dr. Asha Bhakta, OME’s founder and President, has always been driven to provide continued support to promote independence and necessary vocational skills to individuals with unique needs so they can be active participants in the world around them. Dr. Asha Bhakta dreamed of creating a program that can support teens transitioning into adulthood that may need to learn a variety of skills for possible future jobs.
The Coffee Makers were created by some of our most innovative teens from a joint social skills group they attend together. They have been working hard for the past few months to get their business started. They have collaboratively chosen their business name, designed the logo, established their roles, created price points for their merchandise, in addition to ordering and stocking their supplies for sale. All profits from the sale go back to the teens to prepare for the next sales date.
On Mondays, 4:15pm to 5:15pm, they are running a Mini Café on wheels. They have coffee, tea, a variety of soft drinks, and a variety of snacks like cookies and chips. On Holidays, they have themed Special Treats made by The Coffee Makers. Come on by, grab an afternoon pick me up and support our teens. They are currently only accepting cash. The Coffee Makers are located at 3186 Airway Ave, Suite A, Costa Mesa, CA 92626 in the main lobby of Creative Solutions for Hope. Check out our Events Calendar for our next sales date!
